OUR FAITH AND HISTORICAL CHRISTIAN BELIEF

Miracle House joyfully affirms the historic Christian faith as it has been confessed by believers across centuries, cultures, and denominations. We stand firmly within orthodox Christianity and hold to the essential truths of the gospel as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed, one of the earliest and most widely received summaries of biblical belief. This creed reflects the core doctrines of Scripture and unites believers around the foundational truths of who God is, what He has done through Jesus Christ, and the hope we have through the Holy Spirit.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;  Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the virgin Mary;  Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried;  He descended to the dead;
The third day He rose again from the dead;  He ascended into heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit;  The holy universal Church,
The communion of saints;  The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;  And the life everlasting. Amen.

While the Apostles’ Creed provides a concise summary of essential Christian belief, it is not intended to address every area of doctrine, practice, or spiritual life. The twelve doctrinal statements that follow expand upon these historic truths and express how Miracle House understands, teaches, and lives out biblical Christianity today. Together, they clarify our commitment to the authority of Scripture, the indwelling presence of God, spiritual transformation, and faithful obedience to Jesus Christ in both belief and practice.

THE 13 CORE BELIEFS OF MIRACLE HOUSE

Doctrine #1

The Authority of Scripture

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and is completely trustworthy and true in all that it teaches. Scripture reveals God’s character, His redemptive plan, and His will for humanity, providing everything necessary for faith and godly living. The Bible stands as the final authority for doctrine, moral truth, and spiritual discernment. All beliefs, teachings, and experiences must be measured and judged by Scripture.

Scripture (NKJV):
2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12; Matthew 4:4

Miracle House affirms the absolute authority of Scripture in all matters of faith and practice. All teaching, devotionals, prophetic insights, and ministry expression are submitted to God’s Word. God speaks today, but He never contradicts what He has already revealed in Scripture.

Doctrine #2

The Triune God

There is one true and living God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, sharing the same divine nature, power, and glory. Though distinct in role and relationship, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are perfectly united as one God. This triune nature reveals God as relational, personal, and loving.

Scripture (NKJV):
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1–2

Miracle House affirms the biblical doctrine of the Trinity as foundational to understanding God. Believers are invited into fellowship with the Father through the Son by the Holy Spirit. God is not distant, but present and relational with His people.

Doctrine #3

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human without ceasing to be fully God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. Through His death on the cross, Jesus provided a complete and sufficient sacrifice for sin. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory.

Scripture (NKJV):
John 1:14; Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 53:4–6; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11

Miracle House teaches that Jesus Christ is central to salvation and all spiritual life. He is not only Savior but Lord and the living Christ who reigns today. True transformation flows from a personal relationship with Him.

Doctrine #4

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

Salvation is God’s gracious work by which He rescues humanity from sin and spiritual death. It is received solely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works or human effort. Through salvation, sins are forgiven and relationship with God is restored. Salvation results in a new life that is marked by obedience and spiritual growth.

Scripture (NKJV):
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; John 3:16; Titus 3:5

Miracle House affirms that salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace. Faith in Jesus Christ brings forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life. A transformed life is the fruit of genuine salvation.

Doctrine #5

The New Birth and the Indwelling Holy Spirit

The new birth is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that brings spiritual regeneration and new life in Christ. At salvation, a person becomes a new creation with a new heart and new desires. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells every believer. Through His presence, believers are empowered to live godly and Spirit-led lives.

Scripture (NKJV):
John 3:3–6; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:9–11; 1 Corinthians 6:19

Miracle House emphasizes that believers are the temple of the living God. God’s greatest miracle is His presence dwelling within His people. The Holy Spirit actively works within believers to lead, guide, and transform them.

Doctrine #6

Sanctification and Inner Transformation

Sanctification is the ongoing process by which believers are shaped into the likeness of Jesus Christ. This transformation is accomplished by the Holy Spirit as believers abide in Christ. It involves the renewal of the mind, the formation of godly character, and growth in holiness. Sanctification is a lifelong journey of surrender and obedience.

Scripture (NKJV):
Romans 12:1–2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 15:4–5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Miracle House teaches that lasting change flows from intimacy with Jesus. True transformation begins within, not through outward performance. The Holy Spirit produces Christlike character as believers yield to Him.

Doctrine #7

The Church and the Believer

The Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who are united by faith in Jesus. Individually and corporately, believers are God’s dwelling place through the Holy Spirit. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, and reflect His presence on the earth. God moves powerfully among His people as they gather in unity.

Scripture (NKJV):
1 Corinthians 3:16–17; Ephesians 2:19–22; Hebrews 10:24–25

Miracle House affirms both personal faith and corporate gatherings. God’s presence dwells within believers and among them when they gather. Spiritual renewal and transformation flow from His presence.

Doctrine #8

The Gifts and Work of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit continues to work actively in the Church today. He distributes spiritual gifts to believers according to His will. These gifts are given to build up the Church and advance God’s kingdom. All spiritual gifts operate in harmony with Scripture and love.

Scripture (NKJV):
1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Acts 2:17–18; 1 Corinthians 14:1

Miracle House teaches that spiritual gifts are expressions of God’s grace. They are exercised with humility and biblical order. All gifts are meant to glorify Jesus and serve others.

Doctrine #9

Prophetic Ministry and Discernment

God continues to guide and encourage His people through the Holy Spirit. Prophetic insight provides encouragement, exhortation, and comfort to believers. God’s voice never contradicts Scripture or adds new doctrine. All prophetic expressions must be tested with discernment.

Scripture (NKJV):
1 Corinthians 14:3; Amos 3:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:19–21

Miracle House approaches prophetic ministry with humility and reverence. All prophetic insights are submitted to Scripture. The purpose is to draw believers closer to Jesus, not to elevate individuals.

Doctrine #10

Biblical Marriage

Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one biological man and one biological woman. It is designed for lifelong faithfulness, companionship, and mutual commitment. Marriage reflects God’s covenantal love and faithfulness. It serves as the foundation for family and society.

Scripture (NKJV):
Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–32

Miracle House affirms God’s design for marriage as revealed in Scripture. Biblical marriage is to be honored and protected. It reflects Christ’s relationship with the Church.

Doctrine #11

The Sanctity of Human Life

Human life is created by God and bears His image. Life begins at conception and possesses inherent dignity and value. God is intimately involved in the formation of every human being. Human life is to be protected from conception until natural death.

Scripture (NKJV):
Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Genesis 1:27; Proverbs 24:11

Miracle House affirms the sacredness of all human life. This conviction flows from God’s creative authority. Truth is upheld with compassion, grace, and love.

Doctrine #12

The Return of Jesus Christ and Eternal Hope

Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly at the appointed time. He will judge the world and establish His eternal kingdom. Those who belong to Him will enjoy eternal life in God’s presence. This future hope shapes how believers live today.

Scripture (NKJV):
John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–4

Miracle House teaches that the hope of Christ’s return produces faithfulness and perseverance. Eternal perspective fuels holy living. Believers are called to live ready and devoted lives.

Doctrine #13

The Believer as the Temple of the Living God

Under the New Covenant, God no longer dwells in temples made with hands but chooses to dwell within His redeemed people by the Holy Spirit. Through salvation in Jesus Christ, believers become the dwelling place of God, where His presence abides continually. This indwelling presence transforms the believer from the inside out, producing holiness, renewal, and spiritual life. God’s desire is not merely to visit His people, but to make His home within them and manifest His presence through them.

Scripture (NKJV):
1 Corinthians 3:16–17; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Ephesians 2:21–22; John 14:23

Miracle House affirms that the greatest miracle of the New Covenant is God dwelling within His people. The vision of Miracle House is to help individuals and churches live as true dwelling places of God where His presence is welcomed, honored, and expressed. As believers abide in Christ and yield to the Holy Spirit, they become living temples through whom God brings transformation, healing, unity, and light to the world.

HOW TO BUILD A MIRACLE HOUSE IN OUR LIFE

1. Right Foundation: Jesus Christ as Lord

A true Miracle House begins with Jesus Christ as the foundation, not experience, gifting, or activity. God dwells where Christ is honored as Lord, obeyed, and trusted fully. Without Jesus at the center, there may be activity, but there will not be abiding presence.

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 3:11; Colossians 1:18; John 14:23

God does not dwell in programs—He dwells where Christ is loved, obeyed, and welcomed.

2. A Cleansed and Consecrated Temple

In Scripture, God’s dwelling place is always consecrated. Sin that is cherished, hidden, or justified grieves the Holy Spirit and hinders God’s manifest presence. Repentance, humility, and surrender prepare the heart to become a place God gladly inhabits.

Scripture:
2 Corinthians 6:16–17; Psalm 51:10–12; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20

A Miracle House is not perfect people—but yielded people.

3. The Indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit

The defining mark of the New Covenant temple is God living within His people. The Holy Spirit does not merely visit; He dwells, leads, teaches, convicts, comforts, and empowers. Where the Spirit is welcomed and followed, God’s presence becomes real and active.

Scripture:
John 14:16–17; Romans 8:10–11; Ezekiel 36:26–27

Miracles flow from presence, not effort.

4. Abiding, Not Performing

Jesus taught that fruit comes from abiding, not striving. A Miracle House is built on ongoing fellowship with Christ rather than religious performance. When believers remain connected to Jesus, spiritual life flows naturally.

Scripture:
John 15:4–7; Galatians 2:20; Psalm 27:4

God dwells where He is desired, not just discussed.

5. The Word of God Dwelling Richly

God’s presence is sustained where His Word is honored, believed, and obeyed. Scripture renews the mind, aligns the heart, and guards the temple from deception. A Miracle House is saturated with God’s Word, not opinions.

Scripture:
Colossians 3:16; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:11

The Spirit and the Word always work together.

6. Prayer as Communion, Not Just Petition

Prayer is how the temple stays alive. In Scripture, God fills places where His people seek Him, wait on Him, and listen to Him. Prayer creates awareness of God’s presence and dependence on Him.

Scripture:
2 Chronicles 7:14; Acts 2:42; Luke 11:13

A Miracle House is sustained by prayer that hosts God, not just asks from Him.

7. Unity and Love Among Believers

God’s presence rests where believers walk in love, forgiveness, and unity. Division, offense, and pride fracture the dwelling place of God. Unity does not mean uniformity—it means shared submission to Christ.

Scripture:
John 17:20–23; Psalm 133:1–3; Ephesians 4:1–3

Unity creates an atmosphere God delights to dwell in.

8. Holiness Without Legalism

God dwells in holiness, but holiness flows from relationship, not rule-keeping. A Miracle House pursues purity of heart, speech, and conduct as a response to God’s presence, not as a means to earn it.

Scripture:
1 Peter 1:15–16; Hebrews 12:14; Titus 2:11–12

Holiness protects the dwelling place of God.

9. Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit

God’s presence is dynamic, not static. A Miracle House listens for the Spirit’s leading and responds with obedience. Sensitivity grows through humility, stillness, and reverence.

Scripture:
Romans 8:14; Revelation 3:20; Isaiah 30:21

Where the Spirit leads, life follows.

10. Faith and Expectation

God responds to faith. A Miracle House believes God is present, active, and willing to work. Expectation creates room for God to move in healing, transformation, conviction, and salvation.

Scripture:
Hebrews 11:6; Mark 11:22–24; James 1:6

Faith does not force God—it welcomes Him.

11. Obedience That Hosts God’s Presence

Jesus made it clear that God manifests Himself to those who obey Him. Obedience is not control; it is alignment. Where lives are aligned with God’s will, His presence becomes tangible.

Scripture:
John 14:21–23; Deuteronomy 28:1–2; James 1:22

God dwells where His word is lived.

12. A Missional Heart That Reflects God

God’s dwelling place is never inward-only. Where God dwells, His compassion flows outward—toward the lost, the broken, and the hurting. A Miracle House becomes a beacon that draws others to Christ.

Scripture:
Matthew 5:14–16; Acts 1:8; Isaiah 60:1–3

God fills temples that reflect His heart to the world.

The Big Picture

A Miracle House is formed when surrendered people, filled with the Holy Spirit, abide in Christ, walk in holiness and love, are grounded in the Word, devoted to prayer, and live in obedience and faith—creating a dwelling place where God is pleased to manifest His presence.
